What are LED Filaments Bulbs? Benefits and Uses
Incandescent light bulbs had been a primary source of illumination. We all recall the incandescent bulb's graceful design and warm, blazing light with its visible filament. Now it's almost extinct due to its inefficient energy consumption. We have switched to LED filament bulbs which are energy-efficient.
What are LED Filament Bulbs?
LED filament bulbs generate light with LED filaments, which are series-connected strings of diodes that resemble the filaments of incandescent light bulbs in appearance. But they are more efficient. They are a good choice for chandeliers due to their timeless, elegant beauty.
The LED filament is made up of a sequence of LEDs mounted on a transparent substrate known as Chip-On-Glass (COG). These transparent substrates are made of sapphire or glass. Because of its transparency, the emitted light can disperse evenly and uniformly without hindrance. The blue light emitted by the LEDs is converted to white light by an even coating of yellow phosphor in a silicone resin binder material.
Benefits
Energy-saver: LED bulbs have high efficiency. It also leads to financial savings.
High Lumen: They have a high lumen and emit lights at 360 degrees.
Significant environment protection: It does not emit UV rays and heat. It saves us from the breakdown of artwork due to exposure to UV rays.
Longer lifespan: LED filament bulbs have a longer lifespan than traditional incandescent filament bulbs.
No flickering: There is no flickering effect of incandescent light. Therefore, protect the eyes adequately.
Uses
LED filament bulbs come with the latest LED technology and look like an old incandescent lamp. They are mainly used for decor purposes. You can use them on the chandelier. LED filament bulbs are excellent lighting accessories.
